United Nations World Food Program - SheCan Project
The World Food Program is on the ground empowering female farmers through its SheCan project. SheCan is a blended finance initiative that funds WFP programs focused on resilience and economic growth for women. There is a 20-30% projected increase in agricultural yield if women have access to the same resources as men. This is what SheCan strives for. As part of the program, WFP provides women with loans which they can use to expand their business. This includes financial training, digitizing processes and buying supplies such as seeds, herbicides and fertilizers. This enables them to expand their produce and in turn, income. Every month, I donate meal to these smallholder farmers and micro-entrepreneurs in SheCan’s pilot projects in Rwanda, Zambia and Peru.

Operation Underground Railroad
I also donate monthly to Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R.), which is an amazing organization that works with law enforcement to free survivors of human trafficking and exploitation in in almost 40 countries and 50 United States. Their approach is adapted to geographical location, the needs of survivors, and best practices in the field.

The Milo Foundation
As a dog lover, although I don’t have a dog of my own, my parents were lucky enough to find their dog, Ernie, through The Milo Foundation, which is a no-kill organization providing a second chance for homeless pets throughout California. Ernie has brought so much joy to our family and we owe it all to The Milo Foundation, so I make a donation to them every month. 

In addition to all the above, I enjoy volunteering and supporting local organizations in their efforts to improve local communities around the Bay Area and Orange County.
